I have a problem… I cannot take just 1 photo, it must be 2 or 3. Is anyone else the same??? 🤷‍♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The result is, my phone is full of duplicates taken mere seconds a part. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve just been reviewing the 495 photos I took from on our recent trip🙈 We did loads of hiking and I love pulling colours from the photos, like the warmth and earthyness of these burnt leaves and landscape. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mother nature’s colour palettes are my favourite, so maybe there’s a use to my 495 extra photos after all 🥰

This was a quick drawing I did the other day while my daughter was at her first art class. The parents were encourage to take some time out at the nearby beach, and that's exactly what I did with my iPad in tow 🥰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My daughter was so nervous before the class, but was absolutely buzzing when I picked her up. It reminded me that we need to follow our interests and curiosities, so that we continue to grow and experience new things. Sometimes we need to push ourselves though, because it's so easy to stay with the familiar isn't it?

Nature is my #1 inspiration. When I’m feeling stuck in a rut and all out of ideas, Mother Nature will always boost my creativity. Getting up close to blossoms and leaves, seeing the details and patterns, organic flow of lines and the natural colour palettes 😍
Taking a walk outside will always clear my mind and spark new ideas.
What do you do if you’re feeling stuck?

Three things I aim to do everyday without fail…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌻1. Exercise. My days are always more positive and productive if I prioritise exercise. Beneficial not only for your body, but also your mind 🥰⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌻2. Clear my email inbox. Argh…I can’t stand an inbox full of unopened emails and things I need to follow up on🙈 I’m not the type of person to have 1356 emails sitting there that’s for sure! I aim to clear it out/delete/reply to everything everyday…although while on holidays I’m trying to relax this a bit! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌻3. Create something for fun. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just let it flow and see what comes. Here’s a little pattern that I whipped up last night. Loving the soft muted tones, but will experiment with some other colour palettes too I think 🤔⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It took me a while to get there, I started out in a completely different career, and although it was incredibly inspiring and rewarding, it didn’t support living the life we craved.
My husband and I decide to prioritise creating this vision we had- lots of time together as a family, exploring and travelling (not so much of that at the moment 😏), less stuff, more experiences, flexibility and being able to do more with our time than the 9-5 allowed.
9 years + study + 3 kids + a lot of hard work later and I love running my own biz, having the flexibility, getting up and being creative is my thing!
It’s nice to reflect on the journey, and I’m feeling so grateful to have found what works for us🥰 Have you found your thing?

Ive been feeling a little stuck lately, so I’m taking this time to get creative for the sake of creating, to stop overthinking everything, just do it, let it flow and see what comes…starting with this quick little sketch🌸
